"Bake your day" with bread, salt and Caffè Corsini

Happy Birthday, "Bread & Salt"! On November 8, 2024, Eddy Verbeek and Axel Bröker will celebrate one year of gastronomic success in the Mauritz gatehouse, the eastern entrance to the city of Münster. "Bake your day" is the motto here for breakfast, which offers plenty of choice for every taste, plus fresh baked goods from bread sommelier Jörg Terjung from Lüdinghausen.

23 types of salt from all over the world provide aromatic diversity, especially in the evening, when guests choose three of them for their flank steak, carved on a wooden board, served with lime juice dip and fresh house bread.

The enjoyment with white gold is excellently complemented by a brown one from Italy. The Selezione Elite from Caffè Corsini is freshly ground and prepared on the 2-group Cafina portafilter. There are 9 coffee specialties to choose from, including Espresso Doppio and Espresso Macchiato Doppio. In addition, there are 5 other mix recommendations such as Vietnamese coffee, Carajillo or Matcha coffee. "We are very happy with this coffee and are already curious about the Riserva Silvano Corsini," Eddy says. Bernd Billik, contact person for Melitta Professional in Münsterland, has brought the sister company's signature blend from Tuscany. Eddy can look forward to a full aroma, cocoa, almond and spice notes as well as a pronounced sweetness.

"It's going great," reports Eddy Verbeek. The 35 seats inside are booked up quickly, so it's a good thing that from April to October there are around 100 outdoor seats on the promenade, the green belt around the city centre, on top. Then the automatic support for coffee preparation proves its worth. The Cafina portafilter takes care of the tamping of the ground material for restaurant manager Denise Münstedt and, at the touch of a button, also the perfect milk frothing with the Latte Art Steam steam wand in the barista pot: "This is very helpful, brings consistent quality and gives me more time for the guests," she comments.

About 20,000 coffee specialties have been prepared in the last 6 months. If there are even more, Eddy and Denise will not be afraid: "Then we will have Bernd at our side". The area manager is close to the action and is looking forward to new challenges and suitable solutions for further coffee success.
